Bernie Sanders Wins Endorsement of Chicano Latino Caucus of San Bernadino County

San Bernardino County, California, February 20, 2020. The Chicano Latino Caucus of San Bernardino County, was formed to work toward a future that embraces the values of equity, compassion, and progress in our community.

With these values and ideals at heart, the caucus has overwhelmingly decided to endorse a man who is lovingly referred to as, Tío Bernie. In an online vote conducted among the membership, Senator Bernard Sanders received 89.5% of the vote, while Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard received 10.5% of the vote, followed by Senator Elizabeth Warren who received 5.3%.

As a caucus, our membership is keenly aware of the many social and policy factors that derisively affect our community. Factors such as institutional racism, income inequality, and unaffordable/inaccessible healthcare often keep generations of our community and others behind. Throughout the years, Bernie Sanders has proven, he has had these issues in the forefront of his advocacy. His policies and record reflect a fearless fighter that will not tire before we accomplish together a better future for us all. As the senator notes, it’s not about “me” but “us”.

As such, “us” the CLCSB will be noted in this March 3rd primary, as one of many groups and leaders across the United States, who are “Unidos Con Bernie.”
